*These weekly reflections are just a personal accountability thing for myself (Mr.Shift) to keep consistent with my weekly reflections of how the week went, and what I can do to improve. This is mainly to help me develop the habits I want to keep improving week by week moving forward.

 

I guess this week was ok. Here is a summary:

 

Ideas of moving forward:

·      Changing this blog to a ‘.com.au’ domain, and attaching this blog to my PropertyChat account. I think it would be nice to share my journey with others and can help build relationships, just like Branden from MyPropertyJourney is doing.

·      Aim to increase my income – after speaking to my mortgage broker, the biggest limiting factor for me to achieve my goal of 2 properties next year is my income.

·      Future planning – will need to take into consideration how to actually achieve the ‘Jasmin 2 years minimum no work to raise future kids’ plan. How exactly will I achieve this?

 

Update of this week:

·      Had my ‘strategy chat’ meeting with mortgage broker

·      Have an idea of my borrowing capacity and loan options

 

Reflection:

·      Last week I said I would track my project hours for work, which I’ve done

·      One thing I sorta did was having my task inventory, But I didn’t really do that.

·      I’ve been improving on my system to try to stay focused on the task at hand. I am trying to stay true to my ‘main quest’ or ‘critical path’. I have it listed down in One note. And then I will put my ‘side quests’ and stuff I will need to attend to later in note form which I can refer to later.

 

How I could improve:

·      Lay out my task inventory for work and have a rough guide of how I want to spend my hours for the coming week.

·      I also need to do this for my ‘side hustle’/studying real estate. I know every night I’m doing a minimum of 75 minute of focused work, but I need to maybe also have a rough plan of what I might want to achieve that week. I’ll try write down a list of some main things I would like to accomplish within the next 2-4 weeks then try to plan around that maybe? Ok I’ll try that.

·      I think I would need to refer to my weekly journal throughout the week, especially this section of ‘how I could improve this week as opposed to next’. Because sure, I do write it down on Sunday but then I probably forget about a lot of it throughout the week haha so I need to come up with a system of making myself more mindful of my ‘how to improve this week’ every day. Maybe write it down on a card and read it in the morning as part of my morning affirmations. That might be a good idea, I’ll try it out and come back here next week to see how I go.
